Betty “Jeannie” Seay, 70, of Valley View, Texas passed away at her home on May 12, 2024. She was born on June 2, 1953, in Oakland, California to Carl Dean Garlin and Betty Jo (Hix) Garlin. Jeannie married Curtis Seay in 1979, they had a daughter and two sons. She was a member of Rylie First Baptist Church. Jeannie loved her diet Pepsi, cigarettes, and going to the Auction house to buy, sell and trade. She also loved her children, yard work, planting flowers and was feisty and always spoke her mind.
Jeannie is survived by her son, Christopher Lancaster and Shelly Pickrell; daughter, Charley Seay; son, Chance Seay; granddaughter, Kayla Lancaster; brother, Harold Garlin and wife, Debra Ann; several nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by daughter, Catherine “Sissy” Lancaster; grandson, Anthony Seay; parents, Carl & Betty Garlin; sisters, Catherine Garlin and Debra Seay; brother, David Garlin
Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, May 20, 2024 at Crossroads Baptist Church, 2201 W. California Street, Gainesville, Texas with visitation at 1:00 pm.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Meador Funeral Home of Gainesville.

Jeannie, I have missed you so much since I moved. We had good times and bad times but they were always FUN times. As you left this earth , I imagine you were singing “On the Road Again”.
