April 7, 1926 –  December 18, 2016  Graveside Services for Betty J. Carney, 90, of Whitesboro, Texas, will be held Wednesday, December 21, 2016, at 2:00 p.m. at Sadler Cemetery with Rev. Rick Carney officiating. Betty passed away Sunday, December 18, 2016 at Wilson N. Jones Hospital, Sherman, Texas, with her family by her side.She was born April 7, 1926 in Bells, Texas and married J. W. “Dub” Carney. Betty was of the Baptist Faith and was a Rural Mail Carrier for the Whitesboro area for over 20 years. She loved to cook and sew and cooked Sunday dinner for her family every Sunday. Family was very important to her.
She is survived by her grandchildren, Kim, Krista, Kara, Kelly, Julie, Jamie and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, J.W. “Dub” Carney, daughter, Marilyn Rollins and sons, Dennis and John Carney.
