March 17, 1939 –  July 10, 2012  Funeral Services for loving wife, mother and grandmother, Bettie Jane Gibbs, (73) of Gainesville will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 13th at Meador-Clement-Keel Chapel. Dr. Eddie Chennault, Pastor of Temple Baptist Church will officiate. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Casey Dowis, Gary Bryan, Troy Doyle, Dan Holder, Dwayne Davis and James Polk will serve as pallbearers. Martin Randall Barley will be an honorary pallbearers. The family will be at Meador-Clement-Keel Funeral Home Thursday evening from 6:30 to 8:30 for visitation. Mrs. Gibbs passed away Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at Pecan Tree Health and Rehab Center.
Bettie Jane was born March 17, 1939 in Gainesville, Texas to Fred Barnabus and Audra Elizabeth (Durham) Amyx. August 2, 1958 she and Loyd Gibbs, Jr. were married in Gainesville, Texas. Bettie was a professional leather tooler, had worked for North American Dental Lab for two years and Weber Aircraft for ten years. She loved her horses and taking care of her grandchildren. Mrs. Gibbs was a member of Temple Baptist Church.

Survivors of Bettie Jane Gibbs include husband, Loyd Gibbs, Jr. of Gainesville; son and daughter-in-law David and Kim Gibbs of Greenville and their son James Walter Levi Gibbs; daughter and son-in-law, Donna Jane and Martin Noto of Arlington and their children, Anthony Joseph Noto, Harrison Loyd Noto and Natalie Elizabeth Noto; and grandchildren, Anasia McFarlin and Braden Gunnells. She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred Barnabus and Audra Elizabeth Amyx; sister, Josehine Pauley and foster-son, William “Bill” Earl Gunnells.
