April 18, 1926 –  November 24, 2015  Funeral Services for Arretta “Winona” (Adams) Penn, 89, of Collinsville, will be held Saturday, November 28, 2015, at 10:00 a.m. at Meador Funeral Home Chapel with Ricky Patterson officiating. Interment will follow at Collinsville Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday, November 27th from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. She died Tuesday, November 24, 2015, at Whitesboro Health and Rehabilitation Center of Whitesboro.She was born to James Henry and Edith (Cavin) Adams on April 18, 1926, in Grayson County, Texas. She married Amos Penn on February 26, 1992 in Collinsville, Texas. She was a member of Concord Church of Christ and Royal Neighbors of America. She graduated from Collinsville High School, worked for S&H Kresses in Gainesville for many years and worked and retired from Wal-Mart in Gainesville. She enjoyed reading, playing dominoes and helping others.
Pallbearers will be David Hampton, Chris Garrett, Tom Worsham and Greg McWilliams.
Survivors include 2 brothers, Marvin Adams and wife, Nancy of Collinsville and Roy Adams of Norman, Oklahoma; 2 sisters, Eloise Lowry of Collinsville and Emma Irene Adams of Collinsville; 3 step children, Bobby Penn of Denison, Georgia Mason of Rio Vista and Vivian Simpson of Alvarado, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Edith Adams, her husband, Amos Penn and a sister, Norma Booker.
