February 7, 2015 –  November 23, 2015  Rosston resident Anna Belle Kirk, 78, passed away Monday, November 23, 2015 at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Denton. She was born February 7, 1937 in Cooke County to Welton and Gladys (Durham) Balthrop. She married David P. Kirk November 16, 1957. Anna was a retired Postmaster for the Rosston Post Office and was of the Baptist faith.Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 28th at Rosston Baptist Church with Bobby Balthrop officiating. Interment will follow in Rosston Cemetery. Jeff Balthrop, Tracy Kirk, Gary Balthrop, Rick Balthrop, Tracey Lehman and Tim Kirk will serve as pallbearers. Family visitation will be Friday, November 27th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Meador Funeral Home in Gainesville.
Survivors include son, David Wayne Kirk of Rosston; daughter, Rebecca Gail Kirk of Rosston; sisters and brothers-in-law, Sybil and Bud Upchurch of Bisbee, Arizona and Sandra and Garland Lehman of Iowa Park; brothers and sister-in-law, James and Billie Balthrop of Myra and Rodney Balthrop of Rosston and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and brothers, Jerry, Dewayne and Kenneth.
