March 16, 1928 –  October 2, 2004  Graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 5, 2004 at the Nocona Cemetery in Nocona, TX with the Rev. John Chism officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 6-8 P.M. at the Funeral Home.
A.J. was born on March 16, 1928 in Quanah, Texas the son of the late Albert C. Wright and Lenora Jane (Hamilton) Wright.

He married Allie Mae Curnutte on October 30, 1948 in Montague, TX.

A. J. has lived in the Whitesboro community since 1980 and prior to that time he lived in Enid, Oklahoma. He served in the United States Marine Corps and was a member of the New Life Church of God in Whitesboro. He loved his family, church, playing guitar and the Marine Corps.

A. J. retired from Well Tech Well Service after 30 years of service.

Mr. Wright is survived by his wife, Mae Wright of Whitesboro: son, Alton Wayne Wright and wife Pam of Whitesboro: Two grandchildren, Aaron Wayne Wright of Norman, OK and Brian Michael Wright of Whitesboro.

He was preceded in death by three brothers: Frank Sommer, Bill Sommer and Lee Wright.

Honorary Pallbearers are: Dwight Booth, Damien Booth, James Blakley, Jerry Hutson, Ronnie Bell and Carlton McCray.
