December 30, 1948 –  January 9, 2011  Albert Cannon 62, of Whitesboro, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 9th, 2011 at the Whitesboro Nursing Center in Whitesboro, Texas.
Family visitation will be Tuesday January 11, 2011 from 6:00-8:00 PM with funeral services on Wednesday January 12, 2011 at 10:00 AM at the Meador Funeral Home in Whitesboro Texas. Rev. Jerry Davis of the First Baptist Church of Collinsville will officiate the service accompanied by Joe Bledsoe. Internment will be at the Collinsville Cemetery in Collinsville Texas following the funeral.

Pallbearers will be Albert Cannon, Ken Kemp, Darrin Kesler, Jerry Cobb, Bryan Cannon, and Gerald Cannon.

Albert Cannon was born on December 30, 1948 in McKinney Texas and was the son of Willie (Bud) and Minnie Lee Cannon of Frisco, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Minnie Cannon, and stepmother, Juanita Cannon, two brothers, Thomas and Victor (Bo) Cannon, and a daughter, Stephanie Cannon.

He is survived by daughters, April Kemp and husband, Ken of Collinsville and Angie Cannon of Denison, sons, Albert Cannon and wife, Lauren of Krum, and son Julian and wife, Lisa of Celina. He is survived by four grandchildren, Preston Cannon of Krum, Austin Kemp of Collinsville, Dawn Smith and Alykahn Walji. Albert leaves behind two brothers Roy Cannon and wife, Carolyn of Plano, and Ricky Cannon, two sisters, Willie Green of Sanger and Elaine Ragsdale and husband Darrell of Justin.

Albert Cannon was a soldier and served his country in the Vietnam War with the 67th Signal Battalion in the US Army. Albert was retired from Texas Instruments after 20 years of service. He passed the time during his retirement by building small wooden crafts to the enjoyment of family and friends and he will be greatly missed by his family, and his many friends at the Whitesboro Nursing Center.
