July 11, 1963 –  May 21, 2010  WHITESBORO – Funeral Services for Alan Frank Gravette, 46, will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, May 26, 2010 at Meador Funeral Home Chapel in Whitesboro with Chris Lovejoy officiating. Interment will follow in Dixie Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
Alan passed away on Friday, May 21, 2010 in Sherman.

He was born on July 11, 1963 in Gainesville to Bobby Gravette and Nancy Williams Gravette. He graduated from Whitesboro High School in 1982. He worked in construction. He was involved in the Boys and Girls Club as a coach and was a former foster parent.

Survivors include 3 sons, Lee Gravette, Shawn Gravette and Jake Gravette, all of Sherman; his mother, Nancy Gravette of Whitesboro; his father, Bobby Gravette of Whitesboro; 2 brothers, Mike Gravette of Whitesboro and David Gravette of Whitesboro; 2 sisters, Amy Hand of Whitesboro and Lisa Ramsey of Port St. Lucie, Florida; grandmother, Neva Williams of Gainesville; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by grandparents, Dewey and Nettie Gravette, and Raymond Williams.
Pallbearers are Steven Kemp, Bret Ramsey, Cody Ramsey, Matthew Friedman, Brock Gravette, Kasy Gravette and Seth Gravette.
