June Marion Burton, 84, of Whitesboro, Texas was called to her eternal home on Monday, November 18, 2024.

June was born on June 14, 1940 in Edinburgh, Scotland to Albert Mathers Hyndman and Annie McDowell Mathers Hyndman.  She grew up with two sisters, Annie McDowall (Nan) Hyndman and Pearl McDowall Mathers Hyndman. June graduated from high school in Edinburgh, Scotland. After the death of their mother, June and Pearl immigrated to America to begin a new life with their sister, Nan and brother-in-law, Raymond Martin in Arlington, Texas.  There she began a long, successful career in the envelope manufacturing industry.  June married and was a loving wife and proud mother of four beautiful children, and six grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughter, June Annette Davis and husband, Ted of Whitesboro; daughter, Carol Sholars of Whitesboro; daughter, Cheryl Cooper and husband, Gary of Aubrey; son, Carl White and  Novell of Springtown; sister, Pearl Smith and husband, Vernon of Mckinney; grandchildren, Jacob Davis, Josh Davis, Brandon Davis,  Crystal Henson, Nathan Cooper, and Amanda Cooper,

June was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Annie Hyndman, first husband, Darryl White, husband, Frank Burton.

Pallbearers will be Jake Davis, Ted Davis, Gary Cooper, Nathan Cooper, Vernon G. Smith, and Joshua Jones.

Funeral services honoring June will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, November 22, 2024 at Meador Funeral Home of Whitesboro, officiated by Rev. Buddy Garland.  Interment will follow at Tioga Cemetery in Tioga, Texas.  No formal visitation is planned.
