Yuton H. Harris, 85, of Valley View passed away on June 21, 2018. Funeral services will be held at the Valley View Church of Christ, Valley View, Texas, at 10:00 am, Monday, June 25, 2018. A visitation will be held on Sunday, June 24, 2018, from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the Meador Funeral Home Chapel.

He was born in Valley View, Texas on October 5, 1932 to Claude and Bessie Stephenson Harris. Yuton graduated from Valley View High School in 1950, then he was drafted into the United States Army where he served during the Korean Conflict.

On October 19, 1957, he married Joan Caulfield. A lifelong farmer, he drove a school bus for Valley View ISD for 30 years and retired in 1997. In addition, he was a deacon in the Valley View Church of Christ and a member of the Valley View Cemetery board.

Yuton is survived by his wife of sixty years, Joan Harris. Two children, Jackie Zimmerer and her husband Albert, and Dwayne Harris and his wife Lisa. Six grandchildren, Guy Zimmerer and Shiela, Crystal Cartwright and her husband Rusty, Adam Zimmerer and his wife Josey, Ryan Zimmerer, Taylor Harris and his wife Katie, and Joshua Zimmerer and his wife Hilary. He is also survived by fourteen great-grandchildren. Two nieces, Karen Caulfield and Kristi Low (Jay) and great-niece, Cassidy Low. He was preceded in death by his parents Claude and Bessie Harris, and his sister Mary Claudine Couch.
