Funeral services for William Joe Jeter, 71, will be held Monday, March 26, 3012 at 10:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church of Sherwood Shores in Gordonville, Texas with Rev. Delbert Vest officiating. Interment will follow the service at the Greenhill Cemetery in Davis, Oklahoma. All service arrangements are under the direction of Meador Funeral Home in Whitesboro, Texas. Family visitation will be Sunday, March 25, from 6 -7 p.m. at the funeral home.He passed away on March 22, 2012 in Gordonville, Texas.
William Jeter was born on February 8, 1941 to Roy Lonzo and Evelyne (Burkhart) Jeter in Davis, Oklahoma. He married Syble Darlene Cobb on June 6, 1961. They were married until her passing in December 2010.
He is survived by his son, Billy Wayne Jeter of Durant, OK; daughters: Deborah Smith of Gordonville, TX; and Darla Bolles of Gentry, AR; grandchildren: Joshua Howard, David Howard, Micheal Smith, Amber Smith, Jacob Smith, Tiffany Pierce, Christian Jeter, Britany Bolles, Courtney Bolles, and Destiny Bolles; two great-grandchildren: Khloe Whitlock, Johnny Craig; and three brothers: Jimmy Jeter, Lee Roy Jeter, and Kennith Jeter.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Darlene Jeter; parents, Roy and Evelyne Jeter; and his brother, Bobby Eugene Jeter.
Pallbearers will be Joshua Howard, David Howard, Micheal Smith, Christian Jeter, Robert Pierce, and David Smith.
