June 19, 1938 –  March 24, 2017  William Burl Martin, Jr., 78, passed away March 24, 2017 at Gainesville Health and Rehab Center. He was born June 19, 1938 in Myra, Texas, to Zena (Warner) and William Burl Martin, Sr. William served in the US Navy and was married to Linda (Boatright) Martin.
No Services are scheduled at this time. Cremation is under the direction of Meador Funeral Home, Gainesville.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Martin of Gainesville; sons and daughters-in-law, Chris and Carolyn Martin of Argyle, David and Cathy Martin of Heath, Billy and Sheila Martin of Silverton, Oregon and Dale and Julie Martin of Lindsey; daughters and son-in-law, Zena Martin of Jacksboro and Sandi and Darren Green of White Settlement; step-son, Chad Lucas of Gainesville; step-daughter, Audra Mayes and husband Willie of Dallas; twenty grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and six brothers and sisters.
