September 14, 1933 –  July 5, 2017  Gainesville resident, Wanda Juline Edington, passed away Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at North Texas Medical Center at the age of eighty-three. She was born in Tulare, California on September 14, 1933, to Norman Leo and Ona Irene (Lillard) Hall. She married Alvin “T9E” Edington, who preceded her in death. Wanda started school in Prairie Grove, Cooke County, TX and then attended school in Ivanhoe, CA for a time but came back to Texas and attended Gainesville High School. She was a homemaker and loved her family.
Graveside Services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m. on Monday, July 10th at New Hope Cemetery with Rev. Hollis Parsons officiating. A visitation will be held Monday at 11:00 a.m. at Meador Funeral Home in Gainesville.

Survivors include her son, Alvin Eddington of Whitesboro; son and daughter-in-law, Darrel and Tracey Edington of Gainesville; grandchildren, Zach Edington, Brandi Tine, Rita Petty, Wendy Wiser, Dillon Edington and Rachel Edington; great-grandchildren, Ashley Petty, Jessi Petty, Riley Price, Luken Wiser and Elijah Howard Tine and great-great-grandchildren, Nova and Cash Walmsley. In addition to her husband and parents, Wanda was preceded in death by a daughter, Durana Edington and two sisters.
