September 7, 1933 –  October 14, 2006  Gordonville â?? Memorial Services for Voncile S. â??Vonâ? Mabry, 73, formerly of Fayetteville, Georgia, will be 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, October 17, 2006 at Sherwood Shores Baptist Church with Rev. Wendyl Glenn officiating, directed by Meador Funeral Home of Whitesboro.
Von passed away Saturday, October 14, 2006 at Wilson N. Jones Medical Center in Sherman.

She was born September 7, 1933 in Sylvester, Georgia to Thomas and Betty (Pollock) Snipes. Known as â??Big Mommaâ? to her friends and family, Von married Donald L. Mabry June 28, 1974 in Fayetteville, Georgia. She worked for the Atlanta Gas/Light Company, the U.S. Marine Supply Corps Center, the U.S. Civil Service Commission in Atlanta, Georgia and retired from the Federal Aviation Administration as a Personnel Management Specialist after 27 years of service. Von will be missed by many. She was loved by all she came into contact with.

Survivors include her husband, Donald L. Mabry of Gordonville; four daughters, Norma Jean Ash of Powder Springs, Georgia, Vicki Huff of Edmond, Oklahoma, Suzanne Gunn of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Jennifer Dalton of Yukon, Oklahoma; two brothers, Clint Snipes of Front Royal, Virginia, and Sam Pollock of Pelham, Georgia; a sister, Maxine Culpepper of Albany, Georgia; and five grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Douglas Lee Ash, a grandson, Ben Cooper and a brother, Ed Snipes.
