January 25, 1911 –  September 24, 2008  WHITESBORO â?? Funeral services for Vivian Lucille (Martin) Young, 97, will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, September 26, 2008 at First Baptist Church in Whitesboro with Rev. Mike Flanagan officiating. Services are under the direction of Meador Funeral Home in Whitesboro. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Whitesboro. Visitation was from 6 to 8 P.M. Thursday, September 25, 2008 at the funeral home.
Mrs. Young passed away on Wednesday, September 24, 2008 at Wilson N. Jones Medical Center in Sherman.

Vivian was born on January 25, 1911 in Marietta, Oklahoma to C.C. and Anna (Waddell) Martin. She married William Bourland â??Billâ? Young on July 21, 1932 in Marietta, Oklahoma. Vivian was a homemaker early in her married life and when her children were older, she and two other ladies started Whitesboro Manufacturing Co. Vivian loved people and was always ready to go anywhere with family or friends. She was sad when she could no longer attend church. She loved her Sunday school class and her church family at First Baptist Church of Whitesboro, who made her feel so special.

Survivors include; a son, Jack W. Young and wife Myna of Dallas; a daughter, Rita M. Lovejoy and husband Hank of Whitesboro and a brother, Hugh Martin of Arkansas; 12 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Young; a daughter and son-in-law, Verna and Billy Mayo; a son, Joe Clinton Young; five brothers, David, Earl, Joe, Edward and Ernest Martin; a sister, Alice Owens; a great-granddaughter, Sydney Thweatt and great-grandson, Bradley Mayo.

Pallbearers will be grandsons and grandsons-in-law; Cliff Mayo, Steven Young, Chris Lovejoy, Charles Hilliard, Pat Autry, James Thweatt, Richard Lebos, Guy Cumbie, Grant James and Wayne Shelby.
