May 25, 1942 –  July 28, 2015  Virginia May Holland, 73, passed away Wednesday evening, July 28, 2015 at her residence in Gainesville. She was born May 25, 1942 in Jacksboro, Texas the daughter of Homer and Lelia (Reed) White. Virginia married Frank Holland July 31, 1987 in Arlington, Texas. She grew up in Grand Prairie but had lived in Gainesville for the last ten years and was a member of First Baptist Church. She enjoyed staying active with friends at the Stanford House.
Survivors include husband, Frank Holland of Gainesville; sons, Dennis DeLauney of Dallas, Gary DeLauney and wife, Pia of Little Elm and Steven Kirk and wife, Daela of Fort Worth; six grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister Shirley King and step-son, Andy Holland.

Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 1st at Cundiff Cemetery, located between Chico and Jacksboro on FM Road 1810. Family and friends can view and sign the memorial book for Mrs. Holland Friday from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Meador Funeral Home in Gainesville.
