July 15, 1936 –  December 9, 2015  GAINESVILLE Virgie Mae Bagwell passed away Wednesday, December 9, 2015 at Gainesville Health and Rehab Center at the age of seventy-nine. She was born in Gainesville, Texas July 15, 1936, the daughter of John Henry and Charity Elizabeth (Stephens) Lyle. Virgie was a homemaker and had worked at Linda Jo Shoe Factory for fifteen years. She was a member of Mount Lebanon Baptist Church.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 13th at Meador Funeral Home Chapel in Gainesville with Rev. David Whittington officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery. Brad Germany, Konah Kiser, Ken Bagwell, Orland Bagwell, T. J. Weir and Stephen Battles will serve as pallbearers. Family visitation will be Saturday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Meador Funeral Home in Gainesville.

Survivors include her husband, Artie Wayland Bagwell of Gainesville; daughter and son-in-law, Peggy and Randy Germany of Gainesville; grandsons, Brad Germany and wife, Shelbie of Gainesville, Stephen Battles of Whitesboro, Artie Weir of Gainesville and Tony Weir, Jr. of Gainesville; granddaughter, Karamee Kiser and husband Konah of Gainesville, fifteen great-grandchildren and two on the way. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Paula Battles; brother, Ed Worth Lyle; sister, Leta Faye Malone; grandson, Cody Patrick Germany and half-brother, Ray Lyle.
