Funeral services for Thelma Haskel Belcher, 94, are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 9, 2014, in the Meador Funeral Home Chapel of Whitesboro, Texas with Rev. Whitehead officiating. There will be no visitation services.
She passed away on January 6, 2014 in Pilot Point, Texas.
Thelma was born on January 15, 1919 to George and Ethel (Avery) Haskel in Detroit, Michigan. She married Earl W. Belcher, Sr. on November 13, 1943 in Harlingen, Texas.
She is survived by her children: Earl Belcher, Jr. of Austin; George Belcher of Aubrey; Melinda tucker of winters; Danny Belcher of Whitesboro; Donald Belcher of Sherman; Robert Belcher of Houston; and daughter, Ana Beth McIntyre; as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Belcher, Sr.; her parents, George and Ethel Haskel; her sister, Lila Lafayette; and her brother, Dick Haskel.
Pallbearers will be George Belcher, Jr., Bob Haskel, Wes Belcher, Jeb Belcher, Dalton Williams and Dustin Williams.
