June 20, 1954 –  July 16, 2017  Teresa Rhodes Lavergne, 63, Cypress, Texas, passed away July 16, 2017 after an extended illness. Ms. Lavergne was born June 20, 1954 in Fort Worth, Texas to Coy (Dusty), and Bobbie Rhodes.
She attended Arlington Heights High School class of 1972, Ft Worth, Texas. She continued her education with Bachelors Degree from Huntingdon College and Masters Degree from Auburn University Montgomery.

Teresa retired from the Federal Government having worked at the IRS, Austin, TX and USDA Montgomery, AL. She also worked as a Contract Specialist at Auburn University in Montgomery.

Teresa is survived by her husband of 26 years, Michael Perry; Mother, Bobbie Rhodes; Sister, Lisa Murphy and husband, Bill Murphy; Niece, Angela Burk; Great Nephew, Brent Tucker and Ceithan Tucker; Great Great Niece, Paislee Zine and Serenity Tucker; Nephew, Kevin Murphy; Great Nieces, Katlyn Murphy, Reieigh Murphy, and Aubrey Murphy; Step Children, Deborah Perry Owens, Stacy Husted, Curtis Perry and Sarah Perry; Eight Step Grandchildren and Two Step Great Grandchildren; also Mother-in-law, Rose Lavergne; Sister-in-law, Arlene Lefleur and Marlene Kidder.

Teresa was preceded in death by her Father, Coy (Dusty) Rhodes.

A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 22nd at New Hope Cemetery. Prior to the service, (from 12:00 – 1:30 p.m.) family and friends will meet at Meador Funeral Home Reception Center in Gainesville.
