August 23, 1923 –  December 24, 2012  ARLINGTON ? Funeral services for Shasta Cartwright Trisler, 89, will be held Saturday, December 29, 2012, at 2:00 p.m. at the Meador Funeral Home Chapel in Whitesboro, Texas with Rev. Rick Carney officiating. Interment will follow the service at Oakwood Cemetery in Whitesboro. Visitation will be Saturday, December 29, from 1-2 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service.
She passed away in Arlington, Texas on December 24, 2012.

Shasta was born on August 23, 1923 in Wright City, Oklahoma to Isaac Carter and Gertrude Elizabeth (Shields) Reed. She married William Edward Trisler in Galveston, Texas 1970. She was of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed football and was a Dallas Cowboy?s fan. She liked to cook, bake and crochet.

She is survived by her son, Louis Cartwright and wife, Dyann, of Sherman,TX; daughter, Pam Gist and husband, ?Bud?, of Wilton, AR; daughter, Karen Forguson and husband, Donald Wayne, of Arlington, TX; sister, Patsy Tong, of Foreman, AR; brother, Bill Reed of Alabama; 10 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ed Trisler; her parents, Isaac and Gertrude Reed; brother, Jack Reed; and grandson, ?Little? Don Forguson.
