March 4, 1929 –  February 22, 2018  Whitesboro – Funeral services for Sam Todd, 88, of Whitesboro will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at Meador Funeral Home Whitesboro, with Rev. Keith Byrom officiating. Interment will follow at Collinsville Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Monday, February 26, 2018 for 6:00 to 7:00 PM.Sam was born in Collinsville, Texas on March 4, 1929 to J.M. and Bessie (Craig) Todd. He served in the Coast Guard during World War II. He worked for over 30 years for Bell Helicopter. Sam was a Christian man who enjoyed playing a good game of 42.
He is survived by his sister, Juanell Cox and husband, Clyde of Collinsville as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Sam was preceded in death by his parents, J.M. and Bessie Todd, his siblings, and son, Jeff Todd.
Pallbearers will be Don Cox, Jerry Cannon, Eddie Cannon, Richard Heath, Kent Harville and Shane Harville.
