May 9, 1943 –  December 5, 2014  Funeral Services for Ruth Evelyn (Kittrell) Robinson will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, December 8th at Meador Funeral Home Chapel in Gainesville with Rev. Hollis Parsons officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Ruth passed away Friday, December 5, 2014 at Texoma Medical Center at the age of seventy-one.She was born in Thackerville, Oklahoma May 9, 1943 to the late James Daniel (Jake) and Leatha (Busby) Kittrell. Ruth married Charlie Robinson August 5, 1959 in Gainesville. She was in the first graduating class of Gainesville Memorial Hospital’s Vocational Nursing School in 1963 and later she became a registered nurse. She was an avid softball player, playing with the Gainesville Wonderettes and Sunbeams. Ruth was very active her entire life, playing golf, sewing and making cakes. She loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband Charlie Robinson of Lake Kiowa; sons, Joe Don Robinson of Collinsville and Scott Robinson and wife, Jane of Whitesboro; grandchildren, Josh, Jenna, Jake, Cody, Noah and Abby; brothers, James Kittrell and Herman Kittrell and sisters Bonnie DuBose, Carolyn Hogan and Gelema Kittrell. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Clarence Kittrell and Larry Don Kittrell and sisters, Sue Cavitt and Goldie Glydewell. http://videos.lifetributes.com/547007
