February 8, 1927 –  October 12, 2012  Funeral Services for Ruby Imogene Smith, 85, will be held at 10:30 A.M., Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at Meador Clement-Keel Funeral Home Chapel in Gainesville. Interment will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Collinsville. Visitation will be from 6:00 P.M until 8:00 P.M. Monday, October 15, 2012 at the funeral home.

Ruby passed away on October 12, 2012 at North Texas Medical Center in Gainesville.

Ruby was born on February 8, 1927 in Gainesville, Texas to William (Willie) and Cora Turner. She devoted her life to her children and grandchildren, she was a homemaker and loved to sew quilts and read.

Survivors include her daughters, Glenda Smith of Gainesville and Linda Alexander and husband Larry of Cleburne; sons, David Smith and wife Rosie of Columbus, Indiana, Glen Smith of Gainesville, Charles Smith of Lewisville and Johnny Smith of Gainesville; a brother, John Frank Turner of Whitesboro; 20 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Cora Turner, 2 infant children, 2 brothers, Ezra Turner and Jim Turner and three sisters, Dorothy Overton, Pansey Eaton and Maybell Ward.
