January 31, 1946 –  May 19, 2013  GORDONVILLE ? Roy Allen Keesy, Sr., 67, passed away in Bonham, Texas on May 19, 2013. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Meador Funeral Home in Whitesboro, Texas. Roy was born on January 31, 1946, to Eugene R. and Angie (Hayes) Keesy in Temple, Texas. He married Mary Lawley on August 14, 1968. He retired from the Dallas Police Department after 26 years of employment. He continued to work in law enforcement at the Grayson County Sheriff?s Department and later as the Chief of Police for the City of Howe. He was also a caseworker for the Salvation Army of Sherman. He loved going horseback riding on trail rides. He and his wife, Mary, would have been married 45 years this summer.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Keesy, of Sadler, TX; son, Roy Allen Keesy, Jr., of Whitesboro, TX; five grandchildren, Kayla Keesy-Shaw of Whitesboro, TX; Dakota Keesy, Montana Keesy and Katelyn Keesy of Ohio; and Dayton B. Keesy of Sulpher, OK and brother, Alfred Keesy, and wife, Linda.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Angie Keesy.
