January 11, 1913 –  October 12, 2012  Graveside services for Gainesville resident, Roxie Wooten (99) will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 17th at Fairview Cemetery with Rev. Larry Huffman officiating. Mrs. Wooten passed away Friday, October 12, 2012 at Pecan Tree Health and Rehab Center.

Roxie was born January 11, 1913 in Era, Texas to John W. and Ida Mae (Green) Sherrill. She was a graduate of Era High School. Roxie married Johnny Wooten December 25, 1940 in Gainesville. She had worked at Pilot Point School for many years and was a homemaker. Mrs. Wooten was a member of Grace Friendship Church.

Roxie Wooten is preceded in death by her husband, parents, three brothers and three sisters. She is survived by several nieces and nephews.

Services are under the direction of Meador-Clement-Keel Funeral Home.
