October 1, 1916 –  March 18, 2011  COLLINSVILLE-Funeral services for Rossie Porterfield, 94, will be held at 10:00 A.M. Monday, March 21, 2011 at Meador Funeral Home Chapel in Whitesboro, Texas, with Rev. Jerry Davis officiating. Interment will follow at 3:00 P.M. at Bogata Cemetery in Bogata, Texas. Visitation will be from 7:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Sunday, March 20, 2011 at the funeral home.
Mrs. Porterfield passed away on Friday, March 18, 2011 at the Homestead of Collinsville.
Rossie was born on October 1, 1916 in San Saba, Texas to John and Winnie (Carroll) Cline. She married Otis Herman Porterfield on June 17, 1933 in Benjie, Arkansas. Rossie was a member of First Baptist Church of Collinsville.

Survivors include a daughter, Bonnie Dickson and husband, Thomas of Collinsville; grandchildren, Jason Porterfield, Tamara Williams, Tony Dickson, Tara Ragland, Niki Briggs, Melissa Lewis and Pam Fenner; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Winnie Cline; husband, Otis Porterfield; 2 sons, Alson and Donald Porterfield; a daughter, Connie Brown, and a sister, Opal Duty.
