March 30, 1929 –  October 13, 2016  Mass of Christian Burial for Rose Pearl Veronica Preininger Golden, 87, of Whitesboro, Texas, will be held Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Whitesboro with Reverend Jeremy Myers officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Tabor Cemetery. A Rosary will be held Tuesday, October 18th at 6:30 p.m. with family visitation to follow from 7:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Meador Funeral Home Chapel, Whitesboro, Texas. Rose passed away Thursday, October 13th at her home in Whitesboro with her family by her side.She was born to Frank and Mary Preininger on March 30, 1929 in Blairsville, PA. She married Lyndell A. Golden on November 1, 1953 in Palestine, Texas. Rose was a bookkeeper for over 70 years. For 56 of those years, she was co-owner and accounts manager for the family business. Rose assisted in the establishment of the Catholic Mission, St. Francis of Assisi in 1986 in Whitesboro. She was also a member of Texoma Rock Hounds and a Texas Master Gardener.
She is survived by son, Greg Golden and his wife, Carol of Whitesboro; daughters, Lori Torres and husband, Michael of Port Lavaca, Texas and Lisa Roberts and husband, Ken of San Angelo, Texas; grandsons, Rhys Carson and wife, Claudia of Fate, Texas and Ryan Roberts of Austin, Texas; step-grand daughter, Nikki King and husband, Grice of Gainesville, Texas; as well as, several nieces and nephews and a host of friends. Pallbearers will be Rhys Carson, Ryan Roberts, Terry Kirkpatrick, Don Kolash, Chris Eckert and Jerald Lee.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Mary Preininger; husband, Lyndell Golden and sister, Anna Bach.
