March 2, 1944 –  November 22, 2017  Ronnie Joe Jack, 73, passed away on November 22, 2017 at his home after a battle with cancer. Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, November 25, 2017 at Oakwood Cemetery, directed by Meador Funeral Home of Whitesboro. No visitation is planned.He was born on March 2, 1944 to Barney C. and Mattie Lee Jack in Lamesa, Texas. Ronnie married Vera E. Grimes on August 18, 1964 in Aurora, Missouri and lived there until 1977 when they moved to Whitesboro, Texas.
Ronnie served in the U.S. Army for three years and worked for Zenith Corporation in Springfield, Missouri until he opened his Television Repair Service in Marionville, Missouri. He also had Ron’s TV in Whitesboro, Texas until he went to work for the USPS and retired after 27 years of service. Ronnie was a HAM operator, W5VYN. He loved fishing, working on antique radios and woodworking.
He is survived by his wife, Vera of 53 years and their son, Perry Jack and his wife, Annie. Grandson, Justin Jack and step-grandchildren, Kayla Layman, Alyssa Hutto, Kassie Hutto, Nathan Hutto and Haylan Hutto and several nephews and nieces.
Preceding him in death is their son, Randy J. Jack, his parents, two sisters, JoAnn Jack and Rita Curry Ellison and four brothers, Larae, Edwin “Bobby”, Billy and Jerry Jack.
