October 27, 1945 –  March 22, 2017  Ronald Lee Gann, 71, of Sherman, Texas slipped peacefully into the arms of his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at Texoma Medical Center, Denison, Texas with his loving family by his side. Funeral Services will be held Monday, March 27, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Meador Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Weldon Hutson officiating. Interment will follow at Kendall Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to service at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Ronald was born to Alvie Lee and Edna (Raines) Gann on October 27, 1945 in Sherman, Texas. He married Lucretia Conaway on September 28, 1993 in Sherman, Texas. He served his country in the U.S. Army for 8 years during the Viet Nam War. He served in law enforcement for 30 years as a Deputy Sheriff with Grayson, Cooke and Denton Counties. Ronald served as an Court Security Officer at the Federal Court House in Sherman. He loved riding his motorcycle and enjoyed driving for Holiday Chevrolet after his retirement. In his earlier years, he enjoyed photography and loved helping his father-in-law farm. Ronald had a Master’s Degree in Theology and enjoyed being a lay minister. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church of Howe, Texas. Pallbearers will be Lanny Rogers, Joel Knight, Neal Ooten, Keith Drewry, Jared Hutson and David Harrell. He is survived by his wife, Lucretia Gann of Sherman; daughters, Angela Miller and husband, Danny of Sherman and Laura Bellows and husband, Rusty of Sherman; son, Ronnie Gann of Sherman; step-son, Paul Baze and wife, Dani of Sherman and step-daughter, Jami Reese and husband, Vaughn of Myersdale, Pennsylvania; sister, Stella Mae Grandfield and husband, Jim of Denton; 7 grandchildren and mother and father-in-law Boyd and Danna Conaway of Sherman, as well as numerous loving nieces and nephews.
