October 9, 1918 –  November 10, 2008  SADLER â?? The sun rose for the first time on Robert Wilson (Bob) Cranford on Oct. 9, 1918 in Mena, Arkansas and set for the last time on Nov. 10, 2008 at his home in Sadler, Texas.
Robert was born to John Thomas Cranford and Nancy Alice Land Cranford. The family moved to Texas, arriving in Collinsville, on Robertâ??s first birthday.

On August 2, 1947, Robert married Jane Savage in Denison, Texas. Lewis Cordell and Glenda Stevenson served as their wedding attendants. He was a World War II Veteran of the U.S. Army and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Sadler.

Robert is survived by his wife, Jane, sons and wives, Harold and Darla Cranford of Luella, Texas, and Jerry and Carolyn Cranford of Pottsboro, Texas, a sister, Dorothy Wyatt of Tipton, Oklahoma, 10 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Alice Cranford Eades, 2 brothers, Roy and Tomie Cranford, 5 sisters, Willie Mae Coulson, Olene Carney, Maggie Dutton, Ruby Hill and Sunshine Cranford. She was also preceded in death by 4 infant siblings.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2008 at Meador Funeral Home Chapel in Whitesboro with Rev. Judith Reedy and Rev. Doug King officiating. Special music will be presented by granddaughter, Brittany Cranford. Interment will follow in Sadler Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2008 at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be grandsons, Joel Wells, John Boehmisch, Chance Cranford, Schane Cranford, Joe Watkins and Ronnie Johnson.
