Robert “Bobby” Ivan Cox, 71, of Collinsville, Texas, passed away on October 27, 2018, at North Texas Medical Center, Gainesville, Texas. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, November 1, 2018, at the Mt. Zion Cemetery west of Collinsville, Texas. Rev. Duke Dowling will be officiating the service.

He was born October 28, 1946, in Whitesboro, Texas, to Oliver “Pete” Ivan Cox and Nellie Lucille (Crockett) Cox. Mr. Cox served in the U.S. Army from 1966 to 1969, and in the Vietnam War 1966 – 1967. Bobby loved taking care of the farm, his tractors and cars. He liked to watch war movies, westerns and listen to good ole country music. Bobby donated to many charities in his lifetime, some being the D.A.V., N.R.A. and the Mt. Zion Cemetery where many of his family members are buried. He was generous, loved hunting and shooting.

He is survived by two brothers, Roger and wife Beth Cox of Collinsville, Texas; Douglas and wife Okyo Cox of Denton, Texas; four nieces, one nephew, six great niece’s and seven great nephew’s.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

In lieu of flowers a donation can be made to the D.A.V. or N.R.A. in his name.
