October 14, 1948 –  September 5, 2010  WHITESBORO – Richard Earl “Rick” Dawkins, Jr.,61, passed away at his home Sunday, September 5, 2010. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Meador Funeral Home in Whitesboro, TX.He was born to Richard Earl, Sr. and Theda Mae (Nelson) Dawkins on October 14, 1948 in Lawton, OK. He married Nancy Jean Reese in Oklahoma in 1968. Richard owned a sheet metal business.
He is survived by his wife Nancy Dawkins of Whitesboro, TX; two daughters, Christy Williams of Frisco, TX and Tracie Huhnke of Whitesboro, TX; five grandchildren, Jacob Williams, Dillon Williams, Emily Williams, Riley Huhnke, and Reese Huhnke; his three sisters, and his mother, Theda Mae Dawkins.
The family is planning a private service at a later date.
