November 30, 1928 –  June 14, 2011  Funeral services will be held for Ray Trumbull, 82 of Gainesville at 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 17, 2011 at Prairie Grove Baptist Church, Valley View with Duke Dowling, Pastor of Southside Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow in New Resthaven Cemetery with military honors. Funeral services are under the direction of Clement-Keel Funeral Home. Mr. Trumbull died June 14, 2011 in Fort Worth.
Ray was born Eugene Ray Trumbull in Swathmore, PA on November 30, 1928 to Russell Trumbull and Emily Everett. Ray retired as a Captain from the US Air Force in 1966 after serving during the Korean War and WWII. Ray is also retired as a Director from the American Red Cross. At the age of 50, Ray surrendered to the ministry and attended Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth. He pastored churches in Benbrook, Donna, Gainesville and Valley View. Ray retired from the ministry after serving as pastor of Prairie Grove Baptist Church for 18 years. He would want to be remembered as a Patriot for his country and a Servant of his Lord Jesus Christ.

Furthermore, Ray was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. Ray is survived by his wife of 62 years, Jeanne Trumbull; daughter Pat Tefertiller and husband John of Tanzania Africa; son, Larry Trumbull and wife Connie of Colorado Springs, Colorado; daughter Terri Wilhoit and husband John of Bowie, Texas; grandchildren, Christy, J.R. Aaron, Jonna, Johnny and Katie, granddaughter by marriage, Mindy; 14 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Ray is also survived by one brother, Butch Trumbull and wife Ann and one sister, Doris Borges of Maryland.

Visitation will be held Thursday, June 16th, 6-8 p.m. at Clement-Keel Funeral Home.
