September 15, 1928 –  June 2, 2010  WHITESBORO- Graveside Services for Paul Hoover Bailey, 81, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 5, 2010 at Oakwood Cemetery in Whitesboro, Texas with Rev. Joe Patterson officiating. Services are under the direction of Meador Funeral Home in Whitesboro. There is no formal visitation planned. Paul passed away on Wednesday, June 2, 2010 in Whitesboro, Texas.
He was born on September 15, 1928 in Erwin, Tennessee to Burnie C. and Pearl (Green) Bailey. Paul married Myrtle Gibson on August 4, 1950 in Van Alystyne, Texas. He was a member of Central Baptist Church. Paul retired from the Air Force after 20 years of service. He was a member of DAV, Sergeants Association, and the American Legion.
Survivors include three daughters, Debbie Parker of Whitesboro, Teresa Fomby of Gainesville and Sandra Boyd of Liberty, Tennessee; three sisters, Betty Slagle of Salt Lake City, Utah, Gail Bailif of Oakridge, Tennessee and Brenda Day of Lenor City, Tennessee; a brother, Ramel Bailey of Nashville, Tennessee; twelve grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Myrtle Bailey; his parents, Burnie and Pearl Bailey; a son, Michael Bailey; a sister, Virginia Hatcher; and three brothers, Bobby Bailey, C.B. Bailey and Earl Bailey.
