November 11, 1917 –  September 21, 2010  Funeral services for Gainesville resident Patsy Dyer Birdwell, 92, are scheduled for 3 pm Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at Grand Avenue Baptist Church with Rev. Bill Black, Pastor of Grand Avenue officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Honorary Pallbearers will be Gene Dyer, Frank Dyer, Gary Dyer, Gary Don Dyer, Randy Cutshall and Jerry Fleitman. Services are under the direction of Clement-Keel Funeral Home. No visitation is planned
Mrs. Birdwell died September 21, 2010 at Gainesville Health and Rehab Center. She was born November 11, 1917 in Valley View, Texas to Lon and Cordelia (Dillon) Dyer. Patsy married Russell Birdwell September 30, 1967 in Durant, Oklahoma. She had worked at JC Penney and Bomber Bait and was a member of Grand Avenue Baptist Church.

Survivors of Patsy Birdwell include her brothers and sisters-in-law, Harold Frank and Jean Dyer of Springfield, Virginia and Donald and Janet Dyer of Murrieta, California; sister-in-law, Ruby Dyer of Manchester, Tennessee and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lon and Cordelia Dyer; husband Russell Birdwell in 1980; sister, Alma Lones and brothers, Cecil Dyer, Raymond Dyer, Lon Dyer, Jr., Alton Dyer and Bill Dyer.
