December 19, 1934 –  January 1, 2012  Funeral services for Lake Kiowa resident, Opal â??Boâ? Collum will be 11a.m. Thursday, January 5th at Temple Baptist Church with Dr. Eddie Chennault, church pastor officiating. Chuck Collum, Jason Collum, Brian Collum, Phillip White, Jimmy Collum and Don Collum will serve as pallbearers. Burial will follow in Bluebonnet Hills Cemetery, Colleyville. Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 7:30-8:30 p.m. at Clement-Keel Funeral Home. Mrs. Collum passed away Sunday, January 1, 2012 at North Texas Medical Center.
Opal was born in Azle, Texas to Marvin and Margaret (Wood) Tucker December 19, 1934. She married Hal Collum October 2, 1953 in Hurst, Texas. Opal had worked as a secretary for J.C. Penney MTC in Carrollton, Burgess Industries in Dallas and Marketeers in Houston for a number of years. She loved to read and sit in her backyard and enjoy the lake. Family was always first in her life. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Mrs. Collum was a faithful member of Temple Baptist Church.

Opal Collum is survived by her husband of fifty-eight years, Hal Collum of Lake Kiowa; son and daughter-in-law, Garry and Barbara Collum of Houston; sister, Syble White of Wylie; grandchildren, Chuck and Ashley Collum of Houston, Jason and Shannon Collum of Houston and Brian Collum and Alex Lewis of Austin and great-grandchildren, Jadon, Lucy and Aubrey Collum of Houston. She was preceded in death by her parents.
