August 18, 1930 –  October 21, 2008  GORDONVILLLE â?? Funeral services for Odis Perry â??OPâ? Ray, 78, will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, October 25, 2008 at Gordonville Baptist Church with Rev. Rusty Waller officiating. Interment will follow at the Gordonville Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Meador Funeral Home of Whitesboro. Visitation will be from 6 to 7 P.M. Friday, October 24, 2008 at the funeral home.
Mr. Ray passed away on October 21, 2008 at his home in Gordonville.

Odis Perry Ray was born on August 18, 1930 in Darlin, Mississippi to Perry Wilmer and Frances (Harmon) Ray. He married Robin Werner on September 30, 1995 in Ft. Worth, Texas.

He is survived by his wife Robin Ray of Gordonville; two daughters, Linda Ray Kolef of Amherst, New York and Diana Ray Silverira of Gardenerville, Nevada; step-children, Christopher Powell of England, Laura Marpoe of Princeton, Minnesota, David Powell of Goldsboro, North Carolina and Stephen Powell of Ft. Worth, Texas; mother, Frances Discher of Pleasanton, Texas; step-mother, Thomasine Ray of Jonesboro, Arkansas; sisters, Louise Olivares of Pleasanton, Texas, Glenda Gaenzel and husband Victor of Pleasanton, Texas, Sandra Charlton and husband Cecil of Redfield, Arkansas, Barbra Burton and husband Dale of West Helena, Arkansas, Shelia Knuckles and husband Carl of West Helena, Arkansas, Louella Smart and husband Larry of West Helena, Arkansas, Kim Layton and husband Mike of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Hazel Rice and husband Bud of Pine Bluff, Arkansas; brothers, Wilmer Ray and wife Sylvia of Lipan, Texas, James Carter and wife Linda of Pleasanton, Texas, Robert Ray and wife Billie Jean of West Helena, Arkansas, Rufus Ray and wife Gwin of West Helena, Arkansas, David Ray and wife Dee Dee of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Michael Ray and wife Susie of Roe, Arkansas; 10 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
