Visitation for Norman Dean Murray, 82, of Gainesville, Texas, will be held on Tuesday, November 27, 2018, from 6-8 p.m. at Meador Funeral Home. A private burial will be held at Fairview cemetery.
Mr. Murray was born in rural Cooke county to R.E. Murray, Sr. and Roxie (McKnight) Murray on February 6, 1936 and died on November 24, 2018, at his home in Gainesville.

Mr. Murray attended school in Cooke County, was drafted into the U.S. Army and served in Korea, was discharged and was later recalled into the Army where he served at Ft. Bennington, Georgia.

He married Clella Sutton in Gainesville on June 29, 1962, where he lived the rest of his life as a motorcycles mechanic, three wheelers and four wheelers.

He is survived by his daughter, Theresa Murray; granddaughter Cecily Lutkenhaus; three grandsons Treston Lutkenhaus, Zachary Murray, Tyler Murray and wife Cassie,; a great-grandson; sisters Yevonne Russell and husband Jerry; Beverly Norvell, both of Gainesville; sister Mavis Ogle of Haslet; brother Clifford and wife Carolyn of Collinsville; Sisters-in-law Nova Earline, Lee, Cordie, Ina and husband Donnie Fisher; brothers-in-law Gary Sutton and wife Gayla, Lloyd Sutton and wife Brenda, Jimmie Sutton and his faithful companion Amy, a miniature dachshund, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Clella, son Robert, his parents, sisters Alene, Essie and Grace. Brothers R.E. Sr., Doyle Howard, James (Jimmy) and Clyde (Bob).
