November 29, 1941 –  May 30, 2012  Loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Neva Gilbreath, passed away Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at Pecan Tree Health and Rehab Center. She was born November 29,1941 in Valley View, Texas to Virgil and Sina (Camp) Carriker. Neva married Cody Gilbreath June 26, 1958 in Ardmore, Oklahoma. She was a pharmacy tech at Gainesville Memorial Hospital and later volunteered as a “Pink Lady” when the hospital became North Texas Medical Center. Neva enjoyed gardening, crocheting and fishing.
Funeral services for Mrs. Gilbreath are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Sunday, June 3rd at Meador-Clement-Keel Chapel, with Rev. Hollis Parsons, Pastor of Tabernacle Baptist Church officiating. Interment in Fairview Cemetery will follow with grandsons and nephews serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Survivors of Neva Gilbreath include sons and daughters-in-law, James William and Valerie Gilbreath of Gainesville and Robert “Allen” and Tammy Gilbreath of Gainesville; daughter and son-in-law, Pamela and Jim Trisler of Gainesville; mother, Sina Covington of Gainesville; sisters and brothers-in-law, Genevieve York of Whitesboro, Gloria and Vernon Morrison of Sherwood Shores and Linda and Gary Connor of Sherwood Shores; grandchildren and their spouses, Wes and Hayley Trisler of Sherman, Eddie and Jaime Trisler of McKinney, Amy and Stan Blankenship of Gainesville, Lindsey and Josh Swirczynski of Gainesville, Brittany Gilbreath of Las Vegas, Cody Gilbreath of Gainesville, Mandy and Colby Long of Sanger and Lauren Gilbreath of Denton; ten great-grandchildren; longtime friend, George West, sister-in-laws and brother-in-laws, Judy and Frank Doss, Murriel and Carolyn Gilbreath and Joey and Sissie Gilbreath, several nieces and nephews and an ex-brother-in-law, Donnie Gilbreath. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cody Gilbreath, father, Virgil Carriker,a brother, L.V. Carriker, and a brother-in-law, Donnie Gilbreath.
