Funeral Services for Mozelle (Sanders) McWhorter, 91, will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2009 at Meador Funeral Home Chapel in Whitesboro with Rev. Jerry Davis officiating. Interment will follow in Collinsville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 12, 2009 at the funeral home.
Mozelle passed away on Sunday, October 11, 2009 at the Huguley Nursing and Rehab Center in Burleson.
She was born on March 28, 1918 in Collinsville to Roy Clyde and Edith Ann (Swindle) Sanders. Mozelle married Robert Arthur McWhorter, Jr. on July 29, 1935 in Whitesboro. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church in Collinsville.
Survivors include a son, Bob McWhorter and wife, Marilyn of Alvarado; a special nephew, whom she raised, Scotty Sanders of Whitesboro; a brother, Jack M. Sanders of Whitesboro; 3 grandchildren; Melody Werry, Robbie Farmham, and Jason McWhorter; 6 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; a daughter, Patricia Ann McWhorter; and several brothers and sisters.
Pallbearers are Scotty Sanders, Sam Hiser, Kevin Farmham, Jason McWhorter, Kenneth Stafford and Andy Norris.
