June 3, 1917 –  March 15, 2007  WHITESBORO â?? Funeral Services for Mozelle Hazelwood, 89, will be 2 P.M. Sunday, March 18, 2007 at Meador Funeral Home Chapel in Whitesboro with Rev. Thomas Beall and Rev. Larry Blain officiating. Interment will follow in Collinsville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7 to 8 P.M. Saturday, March 17, 2007 at the funeral home.
Mrs. Hazelwood passed away Thursday, March 15, 2007 at Wilson N. Jones Medical Center in Sherman.

Mozelle was born June 3, 1917 in Grayson County to Walter and Barbara (Harvey) Earl. She married William â??Deeâ? Hazelwood in 1934 in Grayson County. She was a homemaker and a member of Southmayd Baptist Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Melba Phelps and husband L.V. of Whitesboro; a brother, C.W. Earl of Wilmington, Illinois; four sisters, Louise Hankins of Canyon, Arietta Ders of Oaklawn, Illinois, Zora Lea Strieb of Rockford, Illinois and Billie Earl of Sherman; two grandchildren, Rodney Phelps and wife Kim of Colleyville, and Andrea Douglass and husband Ross of Keller; five great-grandchildren, Courtney, Bradley, Jordan, Logan and Cydney.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son, Freddie Lee Hazelwood, two brothers and three sisters.

Pallbearers are L.V. Phelps, Rodney Phelps, Ross Douglass, Jack Akins, Jim Malone and Ronnie Ders.

Great-Grandsons will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.
