April 1, 1929 –  December 22, 2017  WHITESBORO – Graveside services for Mary Kathryn Saye, 88, will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at the Oakwood Cemetery Pavilion in Whitesboro with Rev. Mike Flanagan officiating. No formal visitation is planned.

Mary passed away on Friday, December 22, 2017 at the Whitesboro Health and Rehabilitation Center in Whitesboro, surrounded by her family.

She was born on April 1, 1929 in Whitesboro to Charles H. and Artest (Hilliard) Allen. Mary graduated Salutatorian from Whitesboro High School in 1946 (a coin flip decided between Valedictorian and Salutatorian). She married Laurence Saye on November 24, 1948. Mary was a homemaker and also worked for Foxworth-Galbraith in the garden department for 15 years. She was a special wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. Mary was a member of the First Baptist Church in Whitesboro.

She is survived by two sons, Larry Saye of Whitesboro, and Charlie Saye of Whitesboro; two daughters, Karen Reed and husband, Ronnie of Gordonville, and Cindy Tudor of Dripping Springs; eight grandchildren, Kacy Russell and husband, Joel, J.T. Saye, Kirk Womack and wife, Tara, Samantha Weatherford and husband, Scott, Christine Place and husband, Casey, Jake Tudor, Chad Saye, and Collin Pennell; nine great-grandchildren, Reid Russell, Rylee Russell, Ryder Russell, Harper Saye, Ella Womack, Hannah Womack, Cora Weatherford, Campbell Weatherford, and Hudson Place; and a cousin, Sue Davies of Reno, Nevada.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Artest Allen; and her husband, Laurence Saye.

Pallbearers will be grandsons, J.T. Saye, Kirk Womack, Jake Tudor, Chad Saye, Collin Pennell, Joel Russell, and Reid Russell.
