March 9, 1922 –  June 9, 2011  Mary Glendean Miller was born March 9, 1922 to Quentin and Gertie Calhoun in Muenster, Texas. She died June 9, 2011 at Texas Health in Fort Worth. Mary Glendean moved to Valley View in 1938 and joined First Baptist Valley View and has been a member there since that time. She met Elwyn Miller on the church grounds where they were married March 9, 1941. Mrs. Miller had worked as a machine operator at Victor Equipment in Denton and also worked for Jarrell Dress Factory. She was a fulltime homemaker, mother and grandmother.

Funeral services for Mary Glendean Miller (89), of Valley View, will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 13, 2011, at First Baptist Church Valley View, with Rev. Glen Kersey and Phil Todd officiating. Nephews, Butch Calhoun, Brad Calhoun, Dale Calhoun, James Calhoun, Randy Bennett, David Barthold and Ardel Barthold will serve as pallbearers. Burial will follow in Valley View Cemetery. Visitation will be 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Sunday at Clement-Keel Funeral Home.

Mrs. Miller is survived by a daughter, Cheryl Lynn Williams of Woodbine; eight granddaughters, one grandson, five great-granddaughters, seven great-grandsons, two great-great-granddaughters and one-great-great-grandson. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; son, Thomas Miller; daughters, Karen Lee (Miller) Rushing and Lou Ann Miller; brothers, Leon Calhoun, Ben Calhoun, Chester Calhoun and Billy Mac Calhoun and a sister, Joann Bennett.
