July 24, 1936 –  October 20, 2017  WHITESBORO-Mass of Christian Burial for Mary Ann Tischler, 81, will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Pilot Point, Texas, officiated by Rev. Tom Kennedy. Interment will follow at Collinsville Cemetery in Collinsville, Texas. A Rosary will be held at 12:30 P.M. at the church prior to the funeral service. Family visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Monday, October 23, 2017 at Meador Funeral Home in Whitesboro. Mary Ann passed away on Friday, October 20, 2017 at WNJ in Sherman with her family by her side.
She was born on July 24, 1936 in Tishomingo, Oklahoma to Pete and Agnes (Krebs) Hellinger, Sr. Mary Ann married Lee Tischler on January 8, 1955 in Lindsay, Texas. She was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Pilot Point, Texas. Mary Ann enjoyed fishing and being a caregiver to others in need. She loved to cook and work in her flower garden but, her greatest love was doing things with her family.
Survivors include her husband, Lee Tischler of Whitesboro; 2 sons, Roy Tischler and wife, Vickie of Whitesboro and Joe Tischler and wife, Darlene of Whitesboro; 3 daughters, Lou Wooten and husband, Bill of Callisburg, Donna Long and husband, Dave of Gunter and Connie Clark and husband, Paul of Collinsville; 3 sisters, Nelda Vicari of Montague, Janice Yosten and husband, Steve of Muenster and Joyce Yosten and husband, Tom of Denton and 3 sister-in-law, Clara Hellinger of Lindsay, Jeanette Hellinger of Lindsay and Betty Hellinger of Walnut Bend; 13 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Pete and Agnes Hellinger, Sr; brothers, Pete Hellinger, Jr., Milford Hellinger, James Hellinger and Larry Hellinger.
