January 18, 1959 –  February 7, 2015  WHITESBORO- Funeral services for Mark Dale Malone, Sr., 56, will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at First Baptist Church in Collinsville with Rev. Jerry Davis officiating. Family visitation will be from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Monday, February 9, 2015 at Meador Funeral Home in Whitesboro. Mark passed away on Saturday, February 7, 2015 at his home surrounded by his loving family, after battling kidney cancer.
Mark was born on January 18, 1959 in Gainesville, Texas to Claudell and Maurice (Potts) Malone. He married Lisa Huntsman on December 7, 1990 in Whitesboro, Texas. Mark was a truck driver for 30 years; owned and operated his own businesses. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Collinsville and was a strong Christian man. Mark was a very loving husband, father and grandfather.
Survivors include his wife, Lisa Malone; Sons, Mark Malone Jr., and wife, Latoya of Whitesboro, Toby Malone of Whitesboro, Patrick Jones of Whitesboro, Randal Jones and wife, Rebecca of Cleburne and a daughter, Stormy Malone of Grand Forks, N. Dakota; father, Claudell Malone of Whitesboro; sister, Karen Lynch and husband, Gary of Denton; grandchildren, Hailey and Ayden Malone, Shane and Evaline Rayn Malone and Anna Jones, and numerous other family members.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Maurice Malone; sister, Claudia Jo “Jodie” Malone Baugh; grandparents, Thomas and Grace Potts and Alvin and Delphia Malone.
Pallbearers will be; Colton Baugh, Ryan Baugh, Jared Lynch, Jim Emory, Ron Howard, Thomas Varnell, Andy Meals and Roger McDaniel.
Honorary pallbearers will be; Benton Hodgekinson, Robert Wheeler and Jerry McCarroll.
