July 17, 1939 –  May 25, 2014  Marcelina Zavala de Morales was called to be with our Lord on Sunday, May 25, 2014 in Sherman, Texas. Marcelina was born and raised in Chupaderos (Municipio de Rio Verde), San Luis Potosi, Mexico on July 17, 1939 to Tomas Zavala and Marcelina Salas. She moved to San Jose de Las Flores (Municipio de Rio Verde), San Luis Potosi, Mexico after meeting and marrying Amado Morales. There she raised her family and became an active member of her community and church. Marcelina was a kind loving Christian woman who devoted her life to her family until her death, in Sherman, Texas.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Amado Morales, her father Tomas Zavala, her mother Marcelina Salas, and her two sisters Lucia Zavala and Teodora Zavala. Survivors include her son Arturo Morales of Nocona, Texas, Maria de Jesus Morales de Peña and husband Eusebio Peña of Houston, Texas, Nora Moreno husband Ernesto Moreno of Gainesvile, Texas, Amado Morales and wife Leticia Morales of Terral, Oklahoma, Sergio Morales and wife Aide Garcia of San Jose de las Flores(Municipio de Rio Verde), San Luis Potosi, Jorge Morales and wife Anita Morales of Whitesboro, Texas, and Dulce Alvarez and husband Raul Alvarez of Madill, Oklahoma, 2 sisters and 2 brothers of San Luis Potosi, Mexico, 25 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services for Marcelina Zavala de Morales include a rosary on Tuesday May 27 and May 28 at 7 p.m. at Meador-Clement-Keel Funeral Home in Gainesville, Texas and a religious mass will be celebrated and officiated by Fr. Jeremy Myers, on Thursday May 29, 2014 at 2 p.m. in Whitesboro, Texas at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. She will be returned to her home town of San Jose de las Flores (Municipio de Rio Verde), San Luis Potosi, Mexico, by Misión Funeral Home, where she will have a religious celebration and will be laid to rest with her husband Amado Morales. Pallbearers are her grandchildren Chelsea Marire Morales, Joaquin Aguilar, Javier Peña, Chico Cabrera, Nathan Morales, and Jorge Morales.
