June 27, 1919 –  November 5, 2014  Valley View resident, Mae Gwyn Adams (95) died Wednesday, November 5, 2014 at her home. She was born in Valley View, Texas June 27, 1919, the daughter of Walter J. and Mae (Harris) Keel. She was a 1937 graduate of Collinsville High School. Gwyn married William Carey Adams June 17, 1941. They moved to Valley View in 1972. She was employed by Atlantic Richfield (ARCO) for thirty-five years before retiring, working her way from the mailroom up to accounting. Mrs. Adams was a member of the Cockrell Hill Saddle Club and First Baptist Valley View First, where she was the oldest member and was a greeter for many years.
Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 8th at First Baptist Church Valley View with Rev. Glen Kersey and Rev. Larry Huffman officiating. Interment will follow in Valley View Cemetery. David Barthold, Michael Mosman, Ronnie Mosman, Brad Peterson, Larry Tipps and John Roan will serve as pallbearers. Honorary bearers will be Bob and Jim McMeme. No visitation is planned. Services are under the direction of Meador-Clement-Keel Funeral Home.

Survivors of Mae Gwyn Adams include cousin and caregiver, Donna Mosman, several cousins including, Michael Mosman, his wife Lisa and children, Jeffrey, Kaley and Brandon Paske.
