July 17, 1925 – February 17, 2007 GORDONVILLE รข?? Graveside services for Madeline V. Conte, 81 will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, February 22, 2007 at Oakwood Cemetery in Whitesboro under the direction of Meador Funeral Home in Whitesboro with Rev. Antonio Aureus officiating. No formal visitation is planned.
Mrs. Conte passed away Saturday, February 17, 2007 at Community Specialty Hospital in Sherman.
Madeline was born on July 17, 1925 in Coldspring, New York to Foey and Bessie (Barber) Harris. She married Rocco Conte on August 2, 1940 in Salamanca, NY. Madeline has been in the Gordonville area for 17 years. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Whitesboro.
She is survived by her husband, Rocco Conte of Mentone, CA; four sons, Matthew Conte of Gordonville, Dominick Conte of SanDiego, CA, David Conte of Atascadero, CA and Richard Conte of Atascadera, CA; two daughters, Louise Merryman of Welda, KS and Madeline Kay Grabowski of Gastonia, NC; a sister, Neva Freeman of Salamanca, NY and a brother, Lee Harris of Atlanta, GA; 13 Grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Francis Conte and a grandchild.
