December 2, 1918 –  July 7, 2013  Funeral services for Lyscia O. Moore are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Thursday, July 11th at Temple Baptist Church with Dr. Eddie Chennault, church pastor officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. Thursday before the service. Mr. Moore passed away Sunday, July 7, 2013 at Renaissance Care Center in Gainesville.
L.O. was born December 2, 1918 in Katie, Oklahoma to Lyscia Edward and Gertie (Smith) Moore. He began to preach at the age of sixteen. L.O. and Ruby Garvin were married June 28 1939. In 1944 he enlisted in the US Army and served in the Southern Philippines. Following his military service Mr. Moore worked for the Missouri Pacific Railway. He pastored Hibbitt Baptist Church for several years. L.O. was a loving father, grandfather, great and great-great-grandfather who loved to fish.

Survivors of Lyscia O. Moore include his daughter, Jessa Dene Moore and husband, Jimmy of Gainesville; sister, Patsy Lindsay and husband David of Oklahoma; brother, Delbert McGee and wife, Evanell of Noble, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Rodney Moore of Arlington, Rhonda Jackson and husband Lee of Arlington, Robbin Hahn and husband, Jeff of Denton, Michael Moore, Tony Moore, Ricky Moore and wife, Kathy of Hurst and Vicki Dillon of Gainesville; seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby; parents and sons, Wendell Moore and David Moore.

Services are under the direction of Meador-Clement-Keel Funeral Home.
