August 24, 1942 –  July 11, 2012  WHITESBORO Ć¢?? Memorial services for Lora Lee Jones, 69, are planned for Monday, July 16, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Crossroads Baptist Church in Madill, Oklahoma with Pastor Tim Jones and Pastor Greg Jones officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Meador Funeral Home in Whitesboro, Texas.She passed away on July 11, 2012 in Denison, Texas.
Lora was born on August 24, 1942, to Marion Dodd and Lora (Clark) Sims. She married David D. Jones on June 18, 1960, in Gainesville, Texas. She was a member of The Order of the Eastern Star and also served as a parish nurse. She had been an R. N. since 1972. She was a member of the Cross and Spurs Cowboy Church in Madill, OK. She was the founder of Marshall County Home Health and Pilot Point Home Health (where she was still actively serving). She is remembered as a wonderful mother, grandmother and friend. She enjoyed spending time with her family. She was especially proud of grandson JoshuaĆ¢??s U. S. Army service in Afghanistan and Iraq. She loved nature, especially bird watching. She loved reading and enjoyed farming and ranching. She also was an organ donor.
She is survived by her husband, Pete Fox, of Whitesboro, TX; son: Greg Jones and wife, Michelle, of Madill, OK; daughters: Kimberly Kuykendall-Massingill and husband, Bill, of Madill, OK; and Amy Goedecke and husband, Chris, of Whitesboro, TX; grandchildren: Joshua Jones, Kylee Kuykendall, Anna Kate Goedecke and Christian Goedecke; great grandson, Duke Jones; sister, Margaret Goff, of Sherman, TX; and niece, Leigh Anne Goff, of Sherman, TX.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, David D. Jones and Larry Leighton; her parents, M. D. and Lora Sims; and a brother, Jimmy Sims.
